Etihad Airways announced as sponsor of international live streaming of GAA matches

Etihad Airways has been announced as sponsor of GAAGO’s international live streaming of the GAA Championship 2015.

GAAGO is the GAA and RTÉ’s online streaming service for Gaelic games outside of Ireland.

It is live streaming over 45 GAA football and hurling senior championship matches in the summer, plus the concluding stages of the Electric Ireland GAA minor championships and the Bord Gais Energy GAA Hurling U21 Championship Final.

In addition to sponsoring these matches on GAAGO, as part of the sponsorship agreement, GAAGO customers will receive a discount on various programmes when purchasing tickets using the promo code Etihad before the end of June.

The airline has partnered with the GAA for seven years now. It also sponsors the GAA hurling championship, the GAA World Games and the Etihad Skyline at Croke Park.

Beatrice Cosgrove, Etihad Airways’ general manager Ireland, said of the GAAGO deal: “The service has revolutionised the viewing of GAA games around the world and now, for the first time, fans can also watch the all important RTÉ Sunday Game live each weekend.

“Throughout our partnership with the GAA, Etihad Airways has used innovation to bring the action to GAA fans around the world, which included last year’s RTÉ screening of both the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final and replay live on board our flights.”

Dónal Moriarty, product leader, GAAGO said: “Not only does Etihad Airways offer us access to its many customers who are GAA fans all over the world, but as a major supporter of Gaelic Games, this sponsorship of our GAA championship coverage represents a great fit for the GAAGO brand.”
