Dublin-based global payments provider 3V has appointed US internet technology investment entrepreneur Ryan Moore to its board.

Moore is credited as a leading visionary in technology investment and has served on the boards of Enpocket, which was acquired by Nokia, and Where, which was recently acquired by eBay.

Established in 2004, 3V is an Irish company based in Dublin with offices in the UK, Holland and the US.

Its shareholders include Balderton Capital and Atlas Ventures, two of Europe’s largest venture funds.

It currently operates in Ireland, the UK, Holland, Spain, Canada and Germany and is extending its footprint throughout Europe and North America.

Moore, who is a partner at Atlas Ventures, said 3V had not only pioneered an innovative approach to integrated payment solutions, but had also gained an impressive roster of brand-name customers.

“Ryan brings with him a successful record in taking innovative companies to the next level of development,” said Kieron Guilfoyle, 3V CEO.

“As we continue to build next generation payments solutions, for mobile operators and online retailers, we expect his strategic input to be invaluable."
