Kells Stainless targets €2m in Turkish sales with alliance

Irish stainless steel maker Kells Stainless is entering into strategic alliance with Umde, one of Turkey’s leading stainless steel fabricators, to jointly target the €10bn Turkish pharma industry.
The announcement was made as part of this week’s Enterprise Ireland trade mission of 25 Irish companies to Turkey.The contract will enable Kells Stainless to increase its business in Turkey, with a €2m sales target by the end of 2013.
John McKeon, CEO Kells Stainless of Ireland said Umde has the capability and scale to handle research and development, process design and turnkey projects for the major food and beverage manufacturers in the region.
“Working with Umde, we will be able to offer high tech capability and competative pricing to both local and international companies who have committed to Turkey as the regional manfacturing hub,” he said.
“Umde’s strong local presence and reputation, will also give Kells access to new customers and sectors and add scale and scope to our existing multi national clients.”
