A practice development seminar aims to show professional service firms (solicitors, accountants, architects) how to attract more business.
The seminar takes place on 03 December 2009 in the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin.
Speakers include Fran Rooney, (barrister at law, former CEO of Baltimore Technologies and the FAI) who will discuss the issues professionals face when merging with another practice; Brian Walker, (barrister at law, mediator and company law expert) will advise on adding new competences like mediation and ADR to boost a practice's revenues, and show solicitors and accountants how they can get lucrative Commercial Court work for their firm. Pat McArdle (Director of McArdle Associates, professional services marketing consultants) will advise on finding new clients, cross-selling services, and marketing professional services on a budget; Don Farrell, MD of Circulator.com will share his expertise on online marketing, search engine optimisation and email marketing.
“Even though business has declined significantly in the past three years, there is still work out there if you know where to find it. For a professional service firm in the current environment, doing what they've always done about practice development (in most cases, nothing) won't work any more. It's good to see that the progressive-minded firms have decided to do something about practice development and we're delighted to be in a position to show them what works,” said Pat McArdle.
