Chamber Business School has launched the ‘Getting Finance: How to Prepare Projections for your Bank’ training course to help small business owners maximise funding applications.
Mark O’Mahoney, Projects Manager, Chamber Business School said: “Many businesses, in particular small businesses need funding in order to continue to operate or build on what they already have achieved. In order to do this, they must have accurate financial projections for their bank so they can see why the application should be supported. Businesses must clearly demonstrate how much finance they require, and what the issues and ‘what-ifs’ are.”
“Business owners know their business better than anyone, and with a little help, they can confidently prepare, present and explain their own projections, thereby providing themselves with a great opportunity of a positive application,” O’Mahoney said.
‘Getting Finance’ is a FÁS funded, one-day training course. Participants will receive the software and skills to produce and present professional financial projections for their business. With these skills, participants will be able to:
• Assess financial projections;
• Run "What-If?" analyses – the ten factors that can make or break your business;
• Make effective presentations seeking funds from banks or enterprise agencies; and
• Learn a simple monthly routine to get the best out of your business.
Courses will be offered in Dublin, Cork and Limerick from 1 December.
